CiRS (Conveyor Inspection Reporting Software)
Conveyor Inspection Reporting, (CiRS) is an interactive reporting tool for conveyors that takes written visual inspection information, consolidates observations and produces a visual representation of a conveyor's condition for action by maintenance personnel.
CiRS provides the following specific functions:
- Formal, simple to read structure for visual inspection reports.
- Automatically generates report layout for reporting on conveyor belting and equipment.
- Calculates total conveyor belt lengths and generates a visual belt map indicating cover and joint condition for each section of belting.
- Generates a belt summary and equipment summary report tabulating events that require planned maintenance or immediate action by the end customer.
- Uses coloured action codes to differentiate the reported condition of conveyor belting or equipment.
Who uses CiRS
CiRS is used widely by conveyor maintenance companies and inhouse maintenance personnel to report on the condition and operability of a variety of conveyor installations, both underground and surface, from coal to hard-rock to industrial. The scalability of CiRS delivers the same results for all conveyors from the smallest to the largest.
CiRS is intended to provide a universal reporting tool and integrated management aid to conveyor maintenance providers, site engineers, planners and management. Using sound visual inspection methods and conveyor experience, users can quickly develop and produce a conveyor inspection report that:
- Is consistently structured;
- Is flexible in its level of content presented;
- Provides strong visual representation;
- Is self generating;
- Summarises critical information to highlight issues quickly and efficiently.
Business Benefits
When used with input by field technicians, engineers or belt splicers with sound conveyor knowledge, CiRS becomes a powerful reporting tool providing uniformity, speed of production and simple to read inspection reports.
CiRS delivers real business and cost benefit to users. Return on investment is immediate providing management with immediate results via:
- Significantly reducing administration costs in producing inspection report outputs;
- Minimising training liabilities in the level of user experience required;
- Efficiently delivering a numerical and graphic management tool which improves understanding of the system and thereby decreases maintenance / failure downtime;
- Being scalable to suit growing business needs;
- Providing opportunities for expanding existing services offered to your customers.
